A fantastic Rococo style gilt bronze “Sinumbra” (without shadow) lamp retaining its original cut glass shade. Judging from the type and state of the wire and plug that were removed from the lamp, I’d guess that it was electrified in the 1920s-30s. Newly rewired and working. Unmarked. Possibly French.

Antique striped smoke-painted willow stand with square top and elaborate twig and branch embellishments. The unusual striped decoration created by holding sections over a burning candle and allowing the flame to darken the white underpainting. The top is trimmed with a skirt of alternating long and short willow lengths, suggesting draped fabric.
