Wonderful larger scale suggests possible purpose of a wine glass or goblet. Wide and open round bowl with simple knob on stem, beneath. Intact foil seal on underside of foot.
Spare, linear and highly graphic incised slate checkerboard with quarter-fan decorations at each of its four corners. The matte gold paint that fills all of the incised lines is a lovely contrast to the color of the blue-gray slate. Countersunk holes at corners indicate prior attachment to a wooden frame (tabletop). Pennsylvania, circa 1880s–1900s.
Pair of American, caramel-colored modernist craftsman table lamps circa 1950s. Lathe-turned stepped circular bases made in two sections and rising to tapered shafts. Hardwood (maple perhaps). New unfinished brass fittings and wire.
Large antique American ”Hicks“ or block corner picture frame in original dark, varnished finish. Beveled moldings with overlapping corner joints faced with oversized corner blocks. Period (probably original) loop hangers at top edge. Pine, circa 1830-40.
