Red and White “Cucumbers + Cabbage” Painted Sign

Super folky hand-painted farm sign advertising Cucumbers and Cabbages (odd combination).

The paint is interesting because the letterforms appear to have been already painted when its maker added the white. The effect is that some edges seem to dissolve blurring the boundaries between the foreground and background
