Pair of late 19th-century walnut stands with scroll-cut bases and original 2-inch-thick marble tops, shaped along their edges.
The bold foliate silhouettes of the bases are clearly influenced by Rococo design language.
Original dark varnished surfaces overall.
Marble top" 14.5" x 14.5" x 2" thick. Overall: 35" tall x 16.5" deep (measured depth of feet)
Wear and condition as expected with age. Break and loss of one toe (pictured). One marble top has what seems to be a natural fissure. The other marble top seems to have had an old chip smoothed resulting in a slight irregularity along one edge. Both stands are sturdy.
