It took some study and time to realize the glowing effect that this board seems to demonstrate is due in part to the mustard outlines which soften the edges and intersections of the red-orange and black squares in a way the resembles glare or glow.
Single board.
American, late 19th or very early 20th century.
Wear and condition as expected with age. Old working surface with craquelure, scattered scratches and chips throughout. Hairline crack.
