Direct and to the point… Painted “Keep Off” sign with frame molding and stake. Immaculately painted and lightly craquelured letterforms on a powdery lime white ground.

Painted Santa’s Workshop Sign, c 1930-40s

Terrific 1930s or 1940s hand-painted folk art sign advertising the “Workshop of Mr & Mrs Santa Claus.” Double-sided with sawtooth, Adirondack-style ends. Appears to be yellow sign-painters’ enamel over red ground. Found in upstate New York.

Mother of pearl escutcheon on large center drawer which is also inscribed in pencil with the names of this piece’s presumed owners. Replaced mirror and backing.
